"Cirque du Soleil: Love : The Beatles : The Mirage : Las Vegas, NV ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-16 02:04:07 |
I’ve been in Las Vegas for the measure four days touring the checking out the gizmos and gadgets hearing the re-create from fellow PR flaks like me and more importantly taking lots of photos and video of both music-related and just-for-fun gadgets I thought would be relevant to you my faithful readers.
However. I’ve averaged about 3.5 hours of rest every night and haven’t had a hit second to pee - let alone develop format and post all of this fantastic content for you but I did manage to pull some Cirque pictures off my camera phone. I was told to forbid taking photos only after snapping these.
measure night we saw the “re-produced and re-imagined” Beatles show at. No surprise — this is Vegas after all — it was jaw-dropping awesome.
In November I positively reviewed ,but after seeing both. I have much more LOVE to give love. Chronicling the bind’s career through their music and interpretive acrobatics. Love let the timeless music do the story telling as Lucy in the Sky. Eleanor Rigby. Lady Madonna and Mr. Kite danced pranced and romanced the crowd. And it’s not just the giant commemorative beer talking.
Quite honestly. I’m not a big fan of Cirque cram. Not only is it strange (although I generally like strange) it’s just not something I would plunk down $165/ticket on in lieu of say… a Led Zeppelin Reunion show… I don’t even like spending more than $10 on a car wash let alone an interpretive move in Sin City.
However this show is special. It truly brought the songs we all know by heart to life and the songs only my pal Josh Purdy knows by heart (”Octopus’s Garden) to a whole…nother…aim.
Highly recommended and I’d go again tonight if my car wasn’t so dirty.
Ah…I loved loved LOVE (insert “All You be is Love” melody here). I wish I had a picture of Purdy staring wide eyed at the re-create. Did you snag any more pics?
