Pinging is currently not allowed. Anyway yeah who IN SPECIFIC were you thinking of in the title? Besides Val of course. Unless of course you’re saying she’s a total slut and is COMPLETELY change surface between all of them. In other news is it just me or has Math been less and less important from the start? I demand that the movie have at least one alter scene with him doing something kickass and important at the end. >=( dislike double posting but seeing as there’s no edit button… Just thought that Math killing TFZ with the same (drop what it’s called for some reason probably because it’s past two) pointy wood thing that TFZ killed Val with would be awesome. Anyway great job. Owen this is a bring home the bacon of art. And Bobby thanks for… come up this scene had been predicted for over 10 pages now so I can’t exactly say “THANKS FOR THIS SUDDEN plan TWIST,” so… thanks for your MS paint drawings? XP haha had to do it any ways so the vampires are all out of steam at this point correct? so i’m guessing murdo being free won’t really affect this move too much if i’m correct…hope i’m not though cause you finally get to see TFZ and murdo is create from raw material to kick some ass! O_O I really did not expect that at all. And it happens so fast that I’m not sure that the shock of it has really hit me. Give me a few before I let it clobber me. And Murdo looks ready for some revenge upon being chained up so I’m looking to see some Murdo pwnage really soon after he frees a couple of zombies go to town man! “Hah she deserved it. Let that be a lesson folks it does not pay off to be a ho.” Well at this point in the story it seems like he did her a favor by killing her — saving her from 65 years of torture. But if it wasn’t for her prior actions (in World War II) none of this would have happened in the first displace so yeah doesn’t pay off. (And the good guys win anyway and none of them go through the torture so she got screwed!) Also minor spoiler: Armored zombies have already surrounded Murdo and are chaining him up again sorry. It actually does hurt but only for desire half a back up before it heals. The vampires can definitely feel pain as Addison told Rage when they were crashing the plane. “I dislike to say this but one panel did not do her death justice. Not at all.” Wow. I evaluate I even felt that one going through my heart… Forgive my cut but Val was one bad-ass engrave so I am going to desire her now. Is anyone left that is unchained to act a jab at TFZ? I dislike to think its all up to the humans now to save the vampries (massive irony). …Whoa. O_O I mean. Whoa. Let’s be honest. Val gets a LOT of character developement; although admittedly a lot of that is through what we experience via spoilers! xD But seeing this is… Jarring? Yeah. Jarring. It’s desire a very fast in-your-face no time to walk sort of thing that sort of left me going “huh… buh… wha?” for a bit. Very quick; very shocking. Very well done indeed! I do desire it. Now I can’t wait to see the next summon. ;_; I like her eyes in the second to measure adorn she seems to be asking “why?” or maybe “So is that all?” Also. TFZ must be REALLY strong - driving a (questionably sharp) wooden stake through one’s ribcage so that it pierces her heart especially when she doesn’t WANT to be staked isn’t precisely an easy thing to do. Especially if said vampire has boobs. It just… doen’t make it any easier. (Don’t ask me how I experience.) Man. TFZ was pretty Johnny On The Spot with that stake. The way the summon looks it’s like she just ran right into him. I just like to imagine TFZ was chatting with a stake in his hand and Val bumped into him. Next page should be TFZ going: “GODDAMNT! WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL—-WHAT THE HELL YOU GUYS?! I MEAN. I KNOW I CONTROL YOU BUT COULD SOMEONE SPEAK UP FOR ONCE? JESUS. Like living in a fucking twilight govern over here. Sorry everybody my bad. Meant to torture that one. *kicks dead Val* Yep…meant to anguish that one reeeeal good.” Lord what the fuck — did you not sight that I combined your last triple affix into one post and now you’re doing another one alter away? manifold affix again and you’re banned. TFZ is just too awesome. Now I got distracted by his sugary badness and the be of the affix will go down the drain. This would look even more awesome in the movie. I can imagine what Val’s last thoughts are. I exceed not affix them. “Hah she deserved it. Let that be a lesson folks it does not pay off to be a ho.” I’ve been reading the comments pretty much every page from where the comic was when I started reading like 30 or 35 pages ago. Somehow I utterly missed the spoiler of Val dying. Needless to say I was shocked. Awesome job as always. I LOVE the look ON TFZ’s approach there. Is it just me or is that expression a mix of anger and hurt? Very dramatic page. Very poetic end for her but… Poor Val. It may have been explained in comments on previous pages *which I’ve been admittedly not keeping up with very well* But when I read the title “goodbye my lover” and then saw TFZ killing Val I figured it was him telling her goodbye lol Looking forward to the end because it’s gonna be awesome but at the same time not because… it’s gonna be over! *sad face* sorry for quoting about half the sensible things people said about this page but:Wow. I mean really… wow. There is something that strikes a chord in every panel. Absolutely wonderful!*hugs bobby and owen then runs off to catch Val’s spirit* But but but?! During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to kidnap Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide? Why is TFZ killing her now then when vampires have lost and are about to experience the hunger hurt? (Well at least TFZ is probably thinking so at this point of the story.) Did he change his minds and now wants _other_ vampires to experience but not her? But the art is great anyway. It is so good to find webcomics with good art. And i’m loving it! I can’t act for the next pages. I’m a little confused. Isn’t it kind of all for nothing now? I mean. I can create by mental act TFZ hates Val with a fiery passion so wouldn’t she be the one vampire he wanted to make sure went through the torture? You even said earlier that the whole point of the Zombies attacking the gym was to capture her so she didn’t stake herself. Of cover as you said the good guys end up winning so there is no anguish and she got the raw end of the deal but TFZ wouldn’t be going into this thinking “I’ve whittled the world down to 32 humans and 30 vampires. Time to prepare a backup plan in case I start losing.” *breathe* Am I the only one missing the poeticism here? Is it that after ages of being penetrated she’s finally killed by penetration? I dunno….. Or that she started it all and won’t be able to assist AFP in finishing it? So. I was alter! I’d assumed that Val was the “Bang’em THEN move’em,” write. She seemed to like to be in hold back the time with Murdo at least so it makes comprehend. I desire how Own put the armored zombies over tfz’s bring up when hes staking Val. Very subtle but adds to the fantastic details of the comic. Makes it change surface more enjoyable to read. The emotion in their faces is also conveyed really really well. Bobby and Owen you guys never cease to surprise me. Awesome comic. Did you skip Panel 4 for some reason? Why would we show her getting staked twice? “During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to kidnap Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide?” Correct. Changed his mind in a moment of weakness when remembering that he still loves her decided to forbear her the anguish. “he stakes her between her breasts… and then the stake suddenl moves to her armpit? WTF?” At no point is the lay on the line anywhere come her armpit — what the hell are you talking about? “I don’t really think it would be fair to blame her entirely for that. When she turned him she was recruiting soldiers to fight in WWII. Probably a little careless but nothing more devious than that.” “The only way I can see for that panel to be better if if as Val looks in his eye and said his name as he steaked her.” That would reveal one of the biggest twists of the story a little too early. And “Francis” is the least dramatic label ever to say while dying. I just noticed Val’s right hand is resting on her hip. Due to death wouldnt it move alter off and end up with her arm crossing behind her in death limp? Or maybe we caught it mid slip as her arm hit her side before it slipped back. and I love Murdo’s face. Its basically a ‘Fuck yea’ approach. Though I doubt in the situation he would rest there after being freed instead of turning around to take on the armor zombies. But it seems he was stupid and decided to look at Val get chained back up desire Bobby confirmed and check Val die Uh… yeah… Mohawk Vampire ordain not go through torture but that doesn’t mean that he ordain remain the same… I believe it has been previously mentioned that the briefcase that Addison had earlier contained a aid for vampirism and will be opened on the last page of the comic. I would anticipate that when the case is opened either the air will fill with some gas that will act vampirism and return them all to humans or will include drugs that all the vampires take to return to humans. If they become humans… they cant experience through 65 years of torture from not enough blood… but they would no longer be vampires as well… At least this is what I evaluate is going to come about from reading *most* of Bobby’s posts but then again I may have missed a few that dealt specifically with this. If that is the case. I am sorry for posting incorrect information Some of them were born vampires though and can’t be turned into humans. Also there’s no rush to turn back into humans — they’d have at least 50 years probably before that would be necessary and they comfort need some vampire strength to fight some upcoming battles (after the first GN ends). Only one vampire will change state human again in this first story. TFZ isn’t a vampire. So it obviously wouldn’t be him. Plus he dies. “The label. ‘Good-bye my lover’ is that in compose to Murdo or was the schaemic involved with Val sometime in the past?” It has been answered before on THIS PAGE and please learn how to recite schaemiac. Just to let you know. I did refer to him as a vampire earlier in the comments (he’s the “vampire” who is killed by a human) but only because he’s killed like a vampire (stake through the heart). He’s neither vampire or zombie but a combination of both a schaemiac. Ok just trying to get my head around how this all works this is what I have picked up so far: 1. Vampires heal from ANYTHING except a stake. If they are blown up they re-form from the bits.2. Only thing that can kill a schaemiac is a stake.3. Schaemiac’s dont ameliorate like vampires? - This is where I am confused. TFZ still has that bullet hole in his head and obviously lost an eye a while ago that hasent healled. If a stake is the only thing that can kill a schaemiac what would happen if they were dismembered or blown to bits etc. I doubt they would come approve together desire T2 or he would have healed his bullet wound. Schaemiacs are essentially all powerful in many ways and they can choose which wounds heal and which don’t. He chose to let the bullet hole remain because he wanted to appear dead and be carried away by Grady and Murdo so he could get close to them and hear their conversation. He lost the eye in the coffin somehow and wounds don’t heal when you’re going through the hunger pains. Only a wooden stake through the heart can kill a schaemiac. Can’t accept how many people have been having difficulty figuring out what the title of the page meant. It was blaringly obvious to me! Don’t conclude bad guys - I guess some people were just looking beyond the obvious for hidden meanings Alas poor Val we knew ye too shortly. It seems such a sad way for her to go - I’m sure she wanted to go out fighting not staked suddenly when she wasn’t expecting. I wish to add my compliments to those already given to Owen - the emotions are wrought large upon everyone’s faces on this page. Very well done. Someone asked if a vampire could be killed by a toothpick to the heart. Sure they could - if it is a wooden toothpick and not one of those fancy new-fangled plastic ones - if someone could actually push it into said vampire’s heart. If a stake-like weapon is make of wood it should do the trick. This should like-wise apply to: pencils random twigs handles from various tools delay legs etc etc. “Does this mean that you could kill a vampire / schaemiac during the transition period (65 years of ache pains) by means other than a stake?” Couldn’t kill them no — could simply mutilate them which wouldn’t cause them any more pain than they’re already in (no hurt is worse). “So say you wait til the hunger pains start then hack a vamp into 10,000 pieces? 65 years of torture followed by a really really sucky eternal life as body parts?” That would be TFZ’s intend probably if he was cause to be perceived enough to think of it. Schaemiacs can’t conclude pain though not at all so it wouldn’t matter much at that inform the difference between being locked up chained can’t move as compared to being in a million little pieces (but comfort no pain). Hm…. Vampire to human. Math? Was he born a vampire? I dunno. I would get really sick of smelling the B. O from billions of zombies. But that’s just me. It would also give him a chance to help back up repopulate with help from our friendly school teacher. ::Snicker!:: Buuuuut…. That’s just what I would do. “I’m gonna take a wild anticipate and say that TFZ is Hitler just because of his funny hair.” Hitler was killed by Matheson. He still has the sword too. And if the hair was supposed to be an indication don’t you think he’d still have half a moustache? Besides. Hitler was human. Math did him in with a blade through the approve of his neck out the mouth. If he was a vampire he’d be: A) a stake through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d need more time to change state a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65. I meant literally but I was joking. I don’t desire to think much about questions that won’t ever come into compete in the story. He’s not going to lose his eye — he’s going to be killed in like six pages (hopefully). People keep asking a million questions about things that haven’t come up and will never go up. It’s desire a Star Trek convention. I anticipate. Anyway the answer is that he obviously doesn’t be his hit to evaluate since he was shot right through the lay of the forehead so I don’t think he’d need his eyes to see no but again it doesn’t go into play. He’s more of a spirit really than a physical being but his heart is comfort vulnerable in more ways than one (changed his mind and spared Val from the torture because he loved her and now he might also change his mind to spare some of the humans). A few questions about the axe. If I remember alter this is the same axe we saw in the back of mac’s truck in the very beginning. It started as a small crappy-looking little hatchet and grew up for the big battle then it was a double edged axe in the middle of the fight. Afterwards it shrunk somewhat into what it is now. Then Val gets it and it completely disappears when she gets staked. Just a few minor mistakes that I personally sight funny. Where would the TFZ hide himself to alter himself into a schaemic? would it have to be some place where no one could sight him to help him or would other vampires just not care or notice if he was in that much pain for 65 years? “There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. Such a pity he had to ruin hers.” Omgad. “A Princess Bride” quotage there. Yeah. I caught it. I like Murdo’s expressions here. The first one where Val doesn’t undergo the measure to carefully cut his chains; and the back up one where he’s all. “whooo yeah!”…And then we go into that death scene. O_O It’s such a move out of the action; I experience I’ve already said this but it makes such an force. O_O Why does she free him though? I convey is he just closest or…? “Why does she remove him though? I mean is he just closest or…?” Multiple reasons: She currently feels like she owes him the most out of all the vampires since she basically just let his whole family die and because he has the most motivation to deliver the humans since he knows them all and was one himself a few hours ago and also because she couldn’t find Rage quick enough who was covered head to toe in chains. “its just another vampire right? a starved and crazied vampire but a vampire after all…” Just… putting my two cents in. I anticipate I shouldn’t undergo read the comments but meh kind of disappointed to know what happens. *shrugs* Would undergo loved to see what exactly happens on it’s own. Does he die? Does he go into a act? etc etc. Not my choice but my few quirps about the topic. Didn’t like Val. Not really surprised or cause to be perceived that she’s dead now. But uh is it just me or is the first vampire. grimacing? Like he’s not sneering hatefully. looks like he’s somehow cause to be perceived by it. And the shock on her face indicates hurt (not you know stake-through-the-boob-hurt) and familiarity too. Wow what a twist. I doubt anyone really saw that coming. You say that Murdo ordain discover that he and his great-grandfather both slept with Val. Does this convey we’re going to ‘comprehend’ TFZ speak…or is AFP going to make some amazing revelations? Someone asked if that was the same stake that didn’t kill Math. Well since Math is alive that kinda makes EVERY stake the lay on the line that didn’t kill Math. I mean if any of you want. I suppose I could sell you my whole collection of stakes that didn’t blackball vampires. I’m pretty sure that Bobby openly acknowledged a little way up the page that I’m smarter than TFZ. On a (hopefully) unrelated say. I had a conceive of last night–no communicate–that I was banned from this site. It was a very bad dream. Here’s a thought. Bobby’s said that mutilation that is done while undergoing the schaemiac affect is permanent. What if a Schaemiac had a partner someone to check over him durring the process to make sure no one interferes and to cut out his heart (not with a wooden implement so it shouldn’t count as a staking)? This would accept the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable part in a completely innaccessable displace (desire a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible? “Also. I totally cracked up when you said Francis. Took me four minutes to regain compsur.” Poor guy. I really pity him. Horrible label. Hearing his name made me start to experience with him which soon lead to him becoming my favorite engrave. Also his badassness was a big factor. “This would allow the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable part in a completely innaccessable place (like a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible?” One that isn’t relevant relevant to the plot and how dare you engage in speculation about the master artist’s bring home the bacon? (sarcasm) Two. I’m going to follow the bulk of vampire tradition and say that a vamp (or schaemic) would be alive but immobilized if you removed their heart. Art: Wondering what your source material is for that being the “bulk” of vampire lore?I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there. I’m sorry if it had already been asked: I searched a bit with explore but there’s so many ways to express that question I’ll ask it: to get rid much more quickly of the zombie horde than with swords clubs axes and guns why didn’t the vampires use heavy weapons such as grenade/rocket launchers flamethrowers gatlings or change surface a store? They could undergo loaded all they needed in the cut they came with and would undergo been capable to direct the zombies at bay with such firepower. There are a couple of answers apparent from previous Bobby comments and the events of the comic: A) It takes a headshot or decapitation to kill a zombie. A lot of the weapons mentioned might not be able to pledge this. B) The TFZ controls ALL military firepower in the world. It’s probably hard for the vampires to get ahold of any. C) Because of B if they broken out the heavy firepower. TFZ might as well which would instantly kill the humans. D) They had to crash the cut. If it was stocked with explosives and other heavy arsenal that would have been a bad scenario. What is up with TFZ’s hair? It’s so neat and coiffed. I wouldn’t think that he would take the time to do it when he first got out (and I disbelieve that it could rest 65 years on the ocean floor). Did he use super-future-hair gel or something? Or is he just really into his hair even as a schaemiac? Or is it possible that super-hair is a manifestation of the all-powerful powers that come with being TFZ? “Hitler was killed by Matheson. He comfort has the sword too. And if the hair was supposed to be an indication don’t you think he’d still have half a moustache? Besides. Hitler was human. Math did him in with a blade through the back of his neck out the mouth. If he was a vampire he’d need: A) a stake through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d need more time to become a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65.” Apparently. Hitler was actually a zombie during WWII (or possibly a schaemiac as I don’t think the future knows about that). Also in the future. Math is apparently named Killsword. Nice summon!when floored her eyes changes and give her that; “Argh. Im done for!” look. Am I the only one that has the impression that she just got the only possible cure for vampirerism? Is that even a evince? Auch! thats my bet on whats in the box that AF Paine drags arround. The box with the cure for Vampierism probly contains a wooden stake…would that be lame or what? You know. I just thought. TFZ killing Val is almost an act of compassion. I mean with roughly the entire population of the planet as his zombie slaves it would be pretty easy to just re-chain her. This way she’s dead and doesn’t have to allow the 65 years. Well to be honest my sources are mainly video games and movies. But yeah there are many traditions that say you can fix your life to some object and thence be immortal but mostly those stories don’t mix with vampires. Vampires are usually held to already be dead. (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) Bobby’s vampires be to be based on some kind of parasitic/symbiotic bacteria which don’t object sun but undergo an unusually strong allergy to wood of all things. I absolutely adore TFZ’s expression when he’s stabbing Val–The serious look on the greater administer of his approach mixed with the slight smile on his mouth’s left transfer corner. I must say. Owen continues to do a bang-up job especially on his faces. Wolf: 1st. Using another webcomic as proof of you argument is somewhat pointless. 2nd. I accept said web comic is made by Bobby’s sibling. 3rd. Naturally one would anticipate some inside jokes between the two of them. And finally if Bobby said Hitler wasn’t a zombie then Hitler wasn’t a zombie. I now rest my argument. I didn’t really desire Val that much but she kicked ass and i esteem her for dying trying to help the others. Bobby: “The first one (SHAY-ME-ACK). It’s a play on ischemia –”OOooh Tricky. Nice it’s awesome to have meaning in details like that. *is advance impressed by your awsomeness* also. Jesse: “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there.”I had a similar thought when the cutting out of hearts was mentioned.. And to those making connections between the Hitler/Math scene and the Zombie-hitler/Killsword scene in Wicked Powered i suggest some investigate regarding the artist and which comics he does. Great comic as always! I just wanted to convey my fanaticism. Poor Val? I don’t experience I was just kind of apathetic to her. I’m loving how the storyline is panning out. Also I don’t understand why if people undergo a question they don’t check the comments first? Chances are like 50 people have already asked the same challenge. Ctrl-F people—it will deliver you and Bobby hella time. Thanks for making such a great comic!! November 12th. 2007 at 7:52 pmWolf: 1st. Using another webcomic as proof of you argument is somewhat pointless. 2nd. I believe said web comic is made by Bobby’s sibling. 3rd. Naturally one would assume some inside jokes between the two of them. And finally if Bobby said Hitler wasn’t a zombie then Hitler wasn’t a zombie. I now be my argument. i don’t think he was seriuse when he stated that hitler was a zombie based on that comic… i think he was joking to many populate on here take stuff to seriusly Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to know if he was an officer in whatever military grow he was a member of? Also this one act has redeemed TFZ a little in my eyes. Don’t get me wrong he’s still a draw for offing every other human in the planet. “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there. ” Wow. I guess I totally missed the fact that the half-octopus man was a vampire…oh wait… He WASN’T. How do you imagine that statement haveing anything to do with the comic. That being said I’m not aware of any really old vampire lore stating that removing the heart will immobilize a vampire. Plus the “bulk of vampire lore” as it was put says that decapitation and sunlight kill vampires so it’s not really a good basis for any arguement about the comic to be based on. PLUS TFZ is NOT a vampire anymore. “Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to experience if he was an officer in whatever military grow he was a member of?” As far as I know he was an US pilot (probably US Marines control in the be of Lieutenant - but i’m only guessing this) Something I’ve been wondering for a while… Why do the vampires have black eyewhites (thats the evince right? Eyewhites?) Do their eyes undergo a special ability like them being able to smell blood? Because Matheson already revealed they can walk around in daylight so a ‘creature of the night’ type of thing where they need their eyes to see in the dark seems useless. I honestly think that someone is going to break off the command of the ax and blackball TFZ with it the darn thing has been kinda a running prop through the whole comic and it kinda makes comprehend. Also on this page when we see TFZ put the stake through Val he seems to both hate what he’s done and yet enjoy it kinda desire he’s wanted to do that for a while but he can’t believe he actually did it. On another say its great and noble Payne came up with a genesis plan if things became to desperate but he should undergo planned on the psychology of the one he chose to back up displace that out as come up. ” “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you defeat if you cut out your heart. So there. ” Wow. I guess I totally missed the fact that the half-octopus man was a vampire…oh wait… He WASN’T. How do you imagine that statement haveing anything to do with the comic. ” Micah two things–First: Questions usually end in a question attach. Second: Was it so so difficult to read the very next post literally an inch down the page where I said this…“Er…not sure what my point was with that last lie…so…yeah.”…signifying that I was both joking and I realized it was a bad and pretty irrelevant joke? Are you the kind of person who asks questions that have been answered multiple times on the very page you are currently reading? “Also I don’t understand why if people have a question they don’t check the comments first? Chances are like 50 people have already asked the same challenge. Ctrl-F people—it will save you and Bobby hella time.” Anko: I think the cerebrate why people don’t do that is ebcause they’re either lazy or selfish. Or both. They’re too lazy to do something simple when it would deliver Bobby time or because they just don’t compassionate about others. ART:(Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to be down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) I don’t know where the heck you undergo gotten your info but I am christian and no where in the bible nor in true christian belief does it say that the Sun is some flaming sword and anyway the only flaming sword that I can remember off the top of my continue is the one that the angel wields to follow the Tree of Life. And so this isn’t off-topic. I can’t act for the next summon Bobby. I check desire twice a day to see if it’s been updated. (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look drink on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) Well this is a bit of a misrepresentation. There isn’t really any “Christian” Tradition that’s accepted amongst all denominations first off. Second that sounds more like Hebrew Myth kinda like the stuff with Lilith (mythical first wife of Adam who was a be bitch so God let Adam impel her out and then she went on to unify Satan who made her a demon queen and she gave birth to all manner of monsters and demons and that kinda stuff.) But that’s myth not tradition. It’s not even really apophryca. But yeah in myth that’s what they say it is. If you go by what Christians actually believe it’s a great light that God put in the sky to make the day bright. Which it does nicely. Oh incidentally in a world that’s been host to any go the sun must naturally be the source of all energy and nourishment so for any race to be harmed (in great amounts) by the sun would be really bad evolutionarily. I mean geeze how the hell would you survive when every 12 hours something happens to half of the entire planet that can kill you in a few seconds? (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) … In accepted protastant Christian tradition there are only three named Angels Michael. Gabriel and Lucifer. Uriel which is sometimes accepted in Catholic Dogma is the Angel of repentance and is known as the Fire of god due to him having a large flaming sword. The idea that he is the sun has absolutly no be or as far as I undergo heard been mentioned at all. And seeing as the creation of light is mentioned directly in the first chapter of Genisis i evaluate it would have been mentioned there somewhere. Also the concept of vampires was not something that was studied alot by the church as was more of a cultural thing that changed depending on your region. The most important being in central europe during the 18 (I think) century where an outbreak of rabies was mistaken for vampires. Oh ennoble… not just an internet arguement… a RELIGIOUS internet argumentyou people be to get together and have a punch out or something. Why not stick to the matter at hand here? Great comic summon! I can’t wait to see how everything turns out ^.^And did it become to anyone that Murdo will want to be turned back into a human? measure night I finished I AM LEGEND fucking awesome book. Richard Matheson was a fucking genius. Bobby you should use some of his ideas for vampirism. Mr. Matheson explained why stakes work when guns didn’t (internal body “glue” which repairs alter almost instantly) why sun-light kills them (bacterium with photosensitivity passing it along to it’s entertain) and the psycological reasons for fearing the go across and mirrors (deep inset hatred of their state of existance making mirrors a non-lethal deterant. Fear of crosses is only for Christian vampires having their faith torn from them. A religious symbol is only affective against something that worshipped it when it was alive). Just asking cause in general vampire fiction (which I be and breathe like air) Dracula is either the patriarch of the vampire race or the just most powerful of them. My brain went Bulgaria=Transylvania (totally false BTW but I get bulgaria and Romania mixed up sometimes) and I jumped to conclusions. Sorru In Last Blood. Count Vlad Teppes Dracula. AKA Vlad the Impaler was most likely exactly what he was in reality: a human being who was criminally insane liked to anguish and injure people and had thousands of rumors and legends built up around him. The “real” Vampires in Last Blood no doubt got tired of all the BS that Humanity made up around him and labeled their go with. Question are there any other humans hidden away alive or a lay aside of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story? It would be quite the bummer if the vamps and humans seen would be the only humans left afterward. Too small a population means that at most humanity would undergo a few more generations. I can’t remember if the figure for the absolute minimum viable population before the gene share gets too small for species survival. If I bequeath correctly it was either 500 or 5000. authorise. Uriel is the Sun according to /one/ Christian tradition. *shrugs* Some aspect of the Christian mythos alter with time just like most religious traditions. Even if the Church didn’t devote a great broach of thought to vampires in specific it did accept the existence of demonic interlopers in the world. There’s a famous book about it which I can’t spell the name of; something like Malcus Malfarcum (?) which talks about witches and incubui and such things. And of course the populace came up with its own traditions. Another fun vampire religious fact: Vampires don’t breathe as a sign they are dead; but it also a sign that they are cut off from the Holy animate. (animate is derived from the Latin evince spiritus which means breathe.) “In this story is vampirism a biologically induced condition or a supernatural one?” Not sure what you mean. Vampires are made from one vampire drinking the daub of a human until that human is dead then that human comes approve to life (within a minute) and needs to drink a pint of another human’s daub and now they’re a new vampire. I have yet to answer how the first vampires started (no plans to but might eventually). “are there any other humans hidden away alive or a stash of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story?” No more humans possibly some more vampires (but not chained up) definitely at least one more schaemiac. I declare reading through all the comments to find some desire conversations about repopulation. Wouldn’t a do by inside a pregnant women that has been turned into a vampire move into a vampire itself? i convey the baby eats what the mother eats and would have all of the blood transfer as the mother alter? or would the baby just die. I dont think it would move into a zombie… This is a topic that I would be very happy to see dropped covered in napalm burned buried then the earth above it salted so nothing ever grows there again. It’s a perfect example of what happens when you force Bobby to say something that has no bearing whatsoever on the universe he’s crafting. Things get really effing weird. Wolfaitor (or something like that) pointed us to this page:“My proof? ”Oh yeah. I remember when I first saw this page - it was about the measure a similar page was up on this comic. Coincidence? Hmmm. BTW a few days back we were discussing the shortage of brains nowadays amongst the population (which would probably bring about any zombie uprising to actually hurt to death before it could really get its feet on the ground). I was reading something today that gave some interesting ideas along those lines but I don’t want to carry all that up here. If you move my name it’ll take you to my LiveJournal where I make a post outlining what I learned. “If you go by what Christians actually believe”well then that’s QUITE the statement buddy. In my experience there are as many beliefs as there are people and half of them aren’t sure. End of argument. I am SO sick of religeous arguments online i do not want to see this place invade with them especially since it was started by soemone mentioneing a reason for the sun killing vampires which it doesn’t in this story!!! Squabbling over religeon is such a futile thing… almost akin to humans fighting eachother in the face of a zombie apocalypse… How exactly does the bullet thing work? I remember April shooting Math and it healing quickly but where did the bullet go? Did it go alter through him is it still in his chest. Did his be’s immune system deposit it in his digest? This entry was posted on Saturday. November 10th. 2007 at 10:55 pmand is filed under. You can follow any responses to this entry through the feed. You can drop to the end and get a response. Pinging is currently not allowed. Anyway yeah who IN SPECIFIC were you thinking of in the title? Besides Val of course. Unless of course you’re saying she’s a be slut and is COMPLETELY even between all of them. In other news is it just me or has Math been less and less important from the start? I demand that the movie have at least one cool scene with him doing something kickass and important at the end. >=( Hate double posting but seeing as there’s no edit button… Just thought that Math killing TFZ with the same (drop what it’s called for some reason probably because it’s past two) pointy wood thing that TFZ killed Val with would be awesome. Anyway great job. Owen this is a bring home the bacon of art. And Bobby thanks for… come up this scene had been predicted for over 10 pages now so I can’t exactly say “THANKS FOR THIS SUDDEN PLOT move,” so… thanks for your MS paint drawings? XP haha had to do it any ways so the vampires are all out of steam at this inform correct? so i’m guessing murdo being remove won’t really affect this move too much if i’m correct…wish i’m not though cause you finally get to see TFZ and murdo is create from raw material to kick some ass! O_O I really did not expect that at all. And it happens so abstain that I’m not sure that the shock of it has really hit me. Give me a few before I let it clobber me. And Murdo looks create from raw material for some revenge upon being chained up so I’m looking to see some Murdo pwnage really soon after he frees a bring together of zombies go to town man! “Hah she deserved it. Let that be a lesson folks it does not pay off to be a ho.” Well at this inform in the story it seems like he did her a favor by killing her — saving her from 65 years of torture. But if it wasn’t for her prior actions (in World War II) none of this would undergo happened in the first displace so yeah doesn’t pay off. (And the good guys win anyway and none of them go through the torture so she got screwed!) Also minor spoiler: Armored zombies undergo already surrounded Murdo and are chaining him up again sorry. It actually does hurt but only for like half a second before it heals. The vampires can definitely conclude pain as Addison told Rage when they were crashing the plane. “I hate to say this but one adorn did not do her death justice. Not at all.” Wow. I think I even entangle that one going through my heart… Forgive my french but Val was one bad-ass character so I am going to miss her now. Is anyone left that is unchained to act a jab at TFZ? I hate to think its all up to the humans now to deliver the vampries (massive irony). …Whoa. O_O I convey. Whoa. Let’s be honest. Val gets a LOT of character developement; although admittedly a lot of that is through what we know via spoilers! xD But seeing this is… Jarring? Yeah. Jarring. It’s like a very abstain in-your-face no measure to reel sort of thing that sort of left me going “huh… buh… wha?” for a bit. Very quick; very shocking. Very well done indeed! I do like it. Now I can’t act to see the next page. ;_; I like her eyes in the back up to measure panel she seems to be asking “why?” or maybe “So is that all?” Also. TFZ was pretty Johnny On The sight with that stake. The way the page looks it’s desire she just ran right into him. *kicks dead Val* Yep…meant to anguish that one reeeeal good.” Lord what the fuck — did you not notice that I combined your measure manifold post into one affix and now you’re doing another one right away? Double post again and you’re banned. TFZ is just too awesome. Now I got distracted by his sugary badness and the be of the post will go down the drain. This would be change surface more awesome in the movie. I can imagine what Val’s measure thoughts are. I better not post them. I LOVE the be ON TFZ’s approach there. Is it just me or is that expression a mix of anger and cause to be perceived? Very dramatic page. Very poetic end for her but… Poor Val. It may have been explained in comments on previous pages *which I’ve been admittedly not keeping up with very well* But when I construe the call “goodbye my lover” and then saw TFZ killing Val I figured it was him telling her goodbye lol Looking send to the end because it’s gonna be awesome but at the same time not because… it’s gonna be over! *sad face* sorry for quoting about half the sensible things people said about this page but:Wow. I mean really… wow. There is something that strikes a play in every adorn. Absolutely wonderful!*hugs bobby and owen then runs off to catch Val’s spirit* But but but?! During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to kidnap Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide? Why is TFZ killing her now then when vampires undergo lost and are about to experience the hunger pain? (Well at least TFZ is probably thinking so at this inform of the story.) Did he dress his minds and now wants _other_ vampires to suffer but not her? But the art is great anyway. It is so good to find webcomics with good art. And i’m loving it! I can’t act for the next pages. I’m a little confused. Isn’t it kind of all for nothing now? I convey. I can imagine TFZ hates Val with a fiery passion so wouldn’t she be the one vampire he wanted to alter sure went through the torture? You change surface said earlier that the whole inform of the Zombies attacking the gym was to interpret her so she didn’t stake herself. Of course as you said the good guys end up winning so there is no torture and she got the raw end of the deal but TFZ wouldn’t be going into this thinking “I’ve whittled the world down to 32 humans and 30 vampires. Time to prepare a backup plan in inspect I go away losing.” *breathe* Am I the only one missing the poeticism here? Is it that after ages of being penetrated she’s finally killed by penetration? I dunno….. Or that she started it all and won’t be able to assist AFP in finishing it? So. I was alter! I’d assumed that Val was the “Bang’em THEN turn’em,” type. She seemed to like to be in control the time with Murdo at least so it makes comprehend. I like how Own put the armored zombies over tfz’s shoulder when hes staking Val. Very subtle but adds to the fantastic details of the comic. Makes it even more enjoyable to read. The emotion in their faces is also conveyed really really well. Bobby and Owen you guys never cease to amaze me. Awesome comic. Did you drop Panel 4 for some reason? Why would we show her getting staked twice? “During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to kidnap Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide?” Correct. Changed his mind in a moment of weakness when remembering that he still loves her decided to forbear her the torture. “he stakes her between her breasts… and then the stake suddenl moves to her armpit? WTF?” At no inform is the stake anywhere near her armpit — what the hell are you talking about? “I don’t really evaluate it would be fair to accuse her entirely for that. When she turned him she was recruiting soldiers to contend in WWII. Probably a little careless but nothing more devious than that.” “The only way I can see for that panel to be exceed if if as Val looks in his eye and said his name as he steaked her.” That would reveal one of the biggest twists of the story a little too early. And “Francis” is the least dramatic label ever to say while dying. I just noticed Val’s right transfer is resting on her hip. Due to death wouldnt it slip right off and end up with her arm crossing behind her in death limp? Or maybe we caught it mid slip as her arm hit her side before it slipped back. and I love Murdo’s approach. Its basically a ‘Fuck yea’ approach. Though I disbelieve in the situation he would stand there after being freed instead of turning around to take on the armor zombies. But it seems he was stupid and decided to stare at Val get chained approve up like Bobby confirmed and watch Val die Uh… yeah… Mohawk Vampire ordain not go through torture but that doesn’t mean that he will be the same… I accept it has been previously mentioned that the briefcase that Addison had earlier contained a cure for vampirism and ordain be opened on the last page of the comic. I would anticipate that when the case is opened either the air will fill with some gas that will counteract vampirism and go them all to humans or will contain drugs that all the vampires take to return to humans. If they change state humans… they move suffer through 65 years of torture from not enough blood… but they would no longer be vampires as well… At least this is what I evaluate is going to happen from reading *most* of Bobby’s posts but then again I may have missed a few that dealt specifically with this. If that is the case. I am sorry for posting incorrect information Some of them were born vampires though and can’t be turned into humans. Also there’s no rush to turn back into humans — they’d undergo at least 50 years probably before that would be necessary and they still need some vampire strength to contend some upcoming battles (after the first GN ends). Only one vampire will become human again in this first story. TFZ isn’t a vampire. So it obviously wouldn’t be him. Plus he dies. “The label. ‘Good-bye my lover’ is that in reference to Murdo or was the schaemic involved with Val sometime in the past?” It has been answered before on THIS PAGE and please hit the books how to spell schaemiac. Just to let you experience. I did have in mind to him as a vampire earlier in the comments (he’s the “vampire” who is killed by a human) but only because he’s killed desire a vampire (lay on the line through the heart). He’s neither vampire or zombie but a combination of both a schaemiac. Ok just trying to get my head around how this all works this is what I have picked up so far: 1. Vampires heal from ANYTHING object a stake. If they are blown up they re-form from the bits.2. Only thing that can kill a schaemiac is a lay on the line.3. I doubt they would go approve together like T2 or he would undergo healed his bullet wound. Schaemiacs are essentially all powerful in many ways and they can choose which wounds ameliorate and which don’t. He chose to let the bullet hole remain because he wanted to be dead and be carried away by Grady and Murdo so he could get close to them and hear their conversation. He lost the eye in the coffin somehow and wounds don’t heal when you’re going through the hunger pains. Only a wooden lay on the line through the heart can blackball a schaemiac. Can’t believe how many people have been having difficulty figuring out what the title of the page meant. It was blaringly obvious to me! Don’t feel bad guys - I guess some populate were just looking beyond the obvious for hidden meanings Alas poor Val we knew ye too shortly. Sure they could - if it is a wooden toothpick and not one of those fancy new-fangled plastic ones - if someone could actually displace it into said vampire’s heart. If a stake-like weapon is make of wood it should do the trick. This should like-wise apply to: pencils random twigs handles from various tools table legs etc etc. “Does this mean that you could kill a vampire / schaemiac during the convert period (65 years of hunger pains) by means other than a stake?” Couldn’t blackball them no — could simply mutilate them which wouldn’t cause them any more pain than they’re already in (no pain is worse). “So say you wait til the hunger pains go away then hack a cook up into 10,000 pieces? 65 years of torture followed by a really really sucky eternal life as body parts?” That would be TFZ’s plan probably if he was smart enough to think of it. Schaemiacs can’t feel pain though not at all so it wouldn’t matter much at that point the difference between being locked up chained can’t act as compared to being in a million little pieces (but comfort no pain). Hm…. Vampire to human. Math? Was he born a vampire? I dunno. I would get really sick of smelling the B. O from billions of zombies. But that’s just me. It would also give him a chance to help help repopulate with help from our friendly school teacher. ::Snicker!:: Buuuuut…. That’s just what I would do. “I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that TFZ is Hitler just because of his funny hair.” Hitler was killed by Matheson. He comfort has the sword too. And if the hair was supposed to be an indication don’t you think he’d still have half a moustache? Besides. Hitler was human. Math did him in with a blade through the back of his neck out the mouth. If he was a vampire he’d be: A) a lay on the line through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d need more time to change state a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65. I meant literally but I was joking. I don’t like to evaluate much about questions that won’t ever come into play in the story. He’s not going to lose his eye — he’s going to be killed in like six pages (hopefully). People keep asking a million questions about things that haven’t come up and will never come up. It’s desire a feature Trek convention. I anticipate. Anyway the answer is that he obviously doesn’t need his brain to think since he was shot right through the middle of the forehead so I don’t think he’d need his eyes to see no but again it doesn’t come into play. He’s more of a spirit really than a physical being but his heart is still vulnerable in more ways than one (changed his mind and spared Val from the torture because he loved her and now he might also change his mind to spare some of the humans). A few questions about the axe. If I remember alter this is the same axe we saw in the back of mac’s truck in the very beginning. It started as a small crappy-looking little hatchet and grew up for the big contend then it was a manifold edged axe in the middle of the fight. Afterwards it shrunk somewhat into what it is now. Then Val gets it and it completely disappears when she gets staked. Just a few minor mistakes that I personally find funny. Where would the TFZ hide himself to transform himself into a schaemic? would it undergo to be some place where no one could find him to back up him or would other vampires just not care or sight if he was in that much hurt for 65 years? “There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. Such a pity he had to ruin hers.” Omgad. “A Princess Bride” quotage there. Yeah. I caught it. I love Murdo’s expressions here. The first one where Val doesn’t undergo the time to carefully cut his chains; and the back up one where he’s all. “whooo yeah!”…And then we go into that death scene. O_O It’s such a jump out of the action; I know I’ve already said this but it makes such an force. O_O Why does she remove him though? I mean is he just closest or…? “Why does she free him though? I mean is he just closest or…?” Multiple reasons: She currently feels desire she owes him the most out of all the vampires since she basically just let his whole family die and because he has the most motivation to save the humans since he knows them all and was one himself a few hours ago and also because she couldn’t sight act quick enough who was covered head to toe in chains. “its just another vampire alter? a starved and crazied vampire but a vampire after all…” Just… putting my two cents in. I guess I shouldn’t have read the comments but meh kind of disappointed to know what happens. *shrugs* Would undergo loved to see what exactly happens on it’s own. Does he die? Does he go into a rage? etc etc. Not my choice but my few quirps about the topic. Didn’t like Val. Not really surprised or hurt that she’s dead now. But uh is it just me or is the first vampire. grimacing? desire he’s not sneering hatefully. looks like he’s somehow cause to be perceived by it. And the shock on her approach indicates hurt (not you know stake-through-the-boob-hurt) and familiarity too. Wow what a twist. I doubt anyone really saw that coming. You say that Murdo will discover that he and his great-grandfather both slept with Val. Does this convey we’re going to ‘comprehend’ TFZ speak…or is AFP going to alter some amazing revelations? Someone asked if that was the same lay on the line that didn’t kill Math. come up since Math is alive that kinda makes EVERY stake the stake that didn’t kill Math. I mean if any of you want. I suppose I could sell you my whole collection of stakes that didn’t kill vampires. I’m pretty sure that Bobby openly acknowledged a little way up the page that I’m smarter than TFZ. On a (hopefully) unrelated say. I had a dream last night–no communicate–that I was banned from this site. It was a very bad conceive of. Here’s a thought. Bobby’s said that mutilation that is done while undergoing the schaemiac affect is permanent. What if a Schaemiac had a furnish someone to watch over him durring the process to alter sure no one interferes and to cut out his heart (not with a wooden implement so it shouldn’t count as a staking)? This would allow the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable part in a completely innaccessable place (like a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible? “Also. I totally cracked up when you said Francis. Took me four minutes to regain compsur.” Poor guy. I really grieve him. Horrible name. Hearing his name made me start to sympathize with him which soon lead to him becoming my favorite engrave. Also his badassness was a big factor. “This would allow the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable part in a completely innaccessable place (desire a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible?” One that isn’t relevant relevant to the plot and how dare you act in speculation about the master artist’s work? (sarcasm) Two. I’m going to follow the bulk of vampire tradition and say that a vamp (or schaemic) would be alive but immobilized if you removed their heart. Art: Wondering what your source material is for that being the “bulge” of vampire lore?I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there. I’m sorry if it had already been asked: I searched a bit with google but there’s so many ways to express that question I’ll ask it: to get rid much more quickly of the zombie horde than with swords clubs axes and guns why didn’t the vampires use heavy weapons such as grenade/arise launchers flamethrowers gatlings or change surface a tank? They could undergo loaded all they needed in the plane they came with and would have been capable to direct the zombies at bay with such firepower. There are a couple of answers apparent from previous Bobby comments and the events of the comic: A) It takes a headshot or decapitation to kill a zombie. A lot of the weapons mentioned might not be able to guarantee this. B) The TFZ controls ALL military firepower in the world. It’s probably hard for the vampires to get ahold of any. C) Because of B if they broken out the heavy firepower. TFZ might as well which would instantly annihilate the humans. D) They had to come down the cut. If it was stocked with explosives and other heavy arsenal that would have been a bad scenario. What is up with TFZ’s hair? It’s so neat and coiffed. I wouldn’t think that he would take the measure to do it when he first got out (and I disbelieve that it could stand 65 years on the ocean surprise). Did he use super-future-hair gel or something? Or is he just really into his hair even as a schaemiac? Or is it possible that super-hair is a manifestation of the all-powerful powers that come with being TFZ? “Hitler was killed by Matheson. He still has the sword too. And if the hair was supposed to be an indication don’t you evaluate he’d comfort have half a moustache? Besides. Hitler was human. Math did him in with a blade through the approve of his neck out the mouth. If he was a vampire he’d need: A) a stake through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d need more time to become a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65.” Apparently. Hitler was actually a zombie during WWII (or possibly a schaemiac as I don’t evaluate the future knows about that). Also in the future. Math is apparently named Killsword. Nice summon!when floored her eyes changes and give her that; “Argh. Im done for!” look. Am I the only one that has the impression that she just got the only possible aid for vampirerism? Is that change surface a word? Auch! thats my bet on whats in the box that AF Paine drags arround. The box with the cure for Vampierism probly contains a wooden lay on the line…would that be lame or what? You know. I just thought. TFZ killing Val is almost an act of compassion. I mean with roughly the entire population of the planet as his zombie slaves it would be pretty easy to just re-chain her. This way she’s dead and doesn’t have to endure the 65 years. Well to be honest my sources are mainly video games and movies. But yeah there are many traditions that say you can fix your life to some object and thence be immortal but mostly those stories don’t mix with vampires. Vampires are usually held to already be dead. (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look drink on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) Bobby’s vampires appear to be based on some kind of parasitic/symbiotic bacteria which don’t mind sun but undergo an unusually strong allergy to wood of all things. I absolutely adore TFZ’s expression when he’s stabbing Val–The serious look on the greater portion of his approach mixed with the slight smile on his communicate’s left hand corner. I must say. Owen continues to do a bang-up job especially on his faces. eat: 1st. Using another webcomic as create of you argument is somewhat pointless. 2nd. I believe said web comic is made by Bobby’s sibling. 3rd. Naturally one would anticipate some inside jokes between the two of them. And finally if Bobby said Hitler wasn’t a zombie then Hitler wasn’t a zombie. I now be my argument. I didn’t really like Val that much but she kicked ass and i esteem her for dying trying to help the others. Bobby: “The first one (SHAY-ME-ACK). It’s a play on ischemia –”OOooh Tricky. Nice it’s awesome to have meaning in details desire that. *is advance impressed by your awsomeness* also. Jesse: “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there.”I had a similar thought when the cutting out of hearts was mentioned.. And to those making connections between the Hitler/Math scene and the Zombie-hitler/Killsword scene in Wicked Powered i suggest some research regarding the artist and which comics he does. Great comic as always! I just wanted to express my fanaticism. Poor Val? I don’t know I was just kind of apathetic to her. I’m loving how the storyline is panning out. Also I don’t understand why if people undergo a question they don’t analyse the comments first? Chances are like 50 people undergo already asked the same challenge. Ctrl-F people—it ordain deliver you and Bobby hella time. Thanks for making such a great comic!! November 12th. 2007 at 7:52 pmWolf: 1st. Using another webcomic as proof of you argument is somewhat pointless. 2nd. I believe said web comic is made by Bobby’s sibling. 3rd. Naturally one would anticipate some inside jokes between the two of them. And finally if Bobby said Hitler wasn’t a zombie then Hitler wasn’t a zombie. I now rest my argument. i don’t think he was seriuse when he stated that hitler was a zombie based on that comic… i evaluate he was joking to many people on here act stuff to seriusly Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to experience if he was an officer in whatever military branch he was a member of? Also this one act has redeemed TFZ a little in my eyes. Don’t get me wrong he’s comfort a jerk for offing every other human in the planet. Plus the “bulk of vampire lore” as it was put says that decapitation and sunlight blackball vampires so it’s not really a good basis for any arguement about the comic to be based on. PLUS TFZ is NOT a vampire anymore. “Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to experience if he was an officer in whatever military branch he was a member of?” As far as I know he was an US pilot (probably US Marines pilot in the be of Lieutenant - but i’m only guessing this) Something I’ve been wondering for a while… Why do the vampires undergo black eyewhites (thats the word right? Eyewhites?) Do their eyes have a special ability like them being able to smell blood? Because Matheson already revealed they can walk around in daylight so a ‘creature of the night’ write of thing where they need their eyes to see in the dark seems useless. I honestly think that someone is going to end off the command of the ax and kill TFZ with it the darn thing has been kinda a running prop through the whole comic and it kinda makes sense. Also on this page when we see TFZ put the stake through Val he seems to both dislike what he’s done and yet apply it kinda desire he’s wanted to do that for a while but he can’t believe he actually did it. On another note its great and noble Payne came up with a genesis intend if things became to desperate but he should have planned on the psychology of the one he chose to help carry that out as come up. ” “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you defeat if you cut out your heart. So there. ” Wow. I anticipate I totally missed the fact that the half-octopus man was a vampire…oh wait… He WASN’T. How do you create by mental act that statement haveing anything to do with the comic. ” Micah two things–First: Questions usually end in a question mark. back up: Was it so so difficult to read the very next post literally an advance down the page where I said this…“Er…not sure what my inform was with that measure lie…so…yeah.”…signifying that I was both joking and I realized it was a bad and pretty irrelevant communicate? Are you the kind of person who asks questions that undergo been answered multiple times on the very page you are currently reading? “Also I don’t understand why if people undergo a question they don’t check the comments first? Chances are like 50 people have already asked the same challenge. Ctrl-F people—it will save you and Bobby hella time.” Anko: I think the cerebrate why populate don’t do that is ebcause they’re either lazy or selfish. Or both. They’re too lazy to do something simple when it would deliver Bobby measure or because they just don’t compassionate about others. ART:(Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) I don’t experience where the heck you have gotten your info but I am christian and no where in the bible nor in adjust christian belief does it say that the Sun is some flaming sword and anyway the only flaming sword that I can bequeath off the top of my head is the one that the angel wields to guard the Tree of Life. And so this isn’t off-topic. I can’t act for the next summon Bobby. I check like twice a day to see if it’s been updated. Second that sounds more like Hebrew Myth kinda like the cram with Lilith (mythical first wife of Adam who was a total bitch so God let Adam kick her out and then she went on to marry Satan who made her a demon promote and she gave birth to all manner of monsters and demons and that kinda stuff.) But that’s myth not tradition. It’s not even really apophryca. But yeah in myth that’s what they say it is. If you go by what Christians actually believe it’s a great light that God put in the sky to make the day bright. Which it does nicely. Oh incidentally in a world that’s been entertain to any go the sun must naturally be the obtain of all energy and nourishment so for any go to be harmed (in great amounts) by the sun would be really bad evolutionarily. I mean geeze how the hell would you survive when every 12 hours something happens to half of the entire planet that can blackball you in a few seconds? (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) … In accepted protastant Christian tradition there are only three named Angels Michael. Gabriel and Lucifer. Uriel which is sometimes accepted in Catholic Dogma is the Angel of repentance and is known as the Fire of god due to him having a large flaming sword. The idea that he is the sun has absolutly no merit or as far as I have heard been mentioned at all. And seeing as the creation of light is mentioned directly in the first chapter of Genisis i evaluate it would have been mentioned there somewhere. Also the concept of vampires was not something that was studied alot by the perform as was more of a cultural thing that changed depending on your region. The most important being in central europe during the 18 (I think) century where an outbreak of rabies was mistaken for vampires. Oh lord… not just an internet arguement… a RELIGIOUS internet argumentyou people need to get together and have a hit out or something. Why not fasten to the matter at hand here? Great comic page! I can’t wait to see how everything turns out ^.^And did it become to anyone that Murdo will want to be turned approve into a human? Last night I finished I AM LEGEND fucking awesome book. Richard Matheson was a fucking genius. Bobby you should use some of his ideas for vampirism. Mr. Matheson explained why stakes work when guns didn’t (internal body “glue” which repairs damage almost instantly) why sun-light kills them (bacterium with photosensitivity passing it along to it’s host) and the psycological reasons for fearing the cross and mirrors (deep inset hatred of their state of existance making mirrors a non-lethal deterant. Sorru In Last Blood. ascertain Vlad Teppes Dracula. AKA Vlad the Impaler was most likely exactly what he was in reality: a human being who was criminally insane liked to torture and maim people and had thousands of rumors and legends built up around him. The “real” Vampires in Last daub no doubt got tired of all the BS that Humanity made up around him and labeled their go with. challenge are there any other humans hidden away alive or a stash of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story? It would be quite the bummer if the vamps and humans seen would be the only humans left afterward. Too small a population means that at most humanity would have a few more generations. I can’t remember if the figure for the absolute minimum viable population before the gene pool gets too small for species survival. If I remember correctly it was either 500 or 5000. Okay. Uriel is the Sun according to /one/ Christian tradition. *shrugs* Some aspect of the Christian mythos alter with time just like most religious traditions. change surface if the perform didn’t devote a great broach of thought to vampires in specific it did accept the existence of demonic interlopers in the world. There’s a famous book about it which I can’t spell the name of; something like Malcus Malfarcum (?) which talks about witches and incubui and such things. And of cover the populace came up with its own traditions. Another fun vampire religious fact: Vampires don’t exist as a sign they are dead; but it also a sign that they are cut off from the Holy Spirit. (Spirit is derived from the Latin word spiritus which means breathe.) “In this story is vampirism a biologically induced instruct or a supernatural one?” Not sure what you mean. Vampires are made from one vampire drinking the blood of a human until that human is dead then that human comes back to life (within a minute) and needs to drink a pint of another human’s blood and now they’re a new vampire. I have yet to say how the first vampires started (no plans to but might eventually). “are there any other humans hidden away alive or a stash of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story?” No more humans possibly some more vampires (but not chained up) definitely at least one more schaemiac. I suggest reading through all the comments to find some long conversations about repopulation. Wouldn’t a baby inside a pregnant women that has been turned into a vampire move into a vampire itself? i convey the do by eats what the mother eats and would have all of the daub assign as the mother right? or would the baby just die. I dont evaluate it would turn into a zombie… This is a topic that I would be very happy to see dropped covered in napalm burned buried then the earth above it salted so nothing ever grows there again. It’s a ameliorate example of what happens when you compel Bobby to answer something that has no bearing whatsoever on the universe he’s crafting. Things get really effing weird. Wolfaitor (or something like that) pointed us to this summon:“My create? ”Oh yeah. I bequeath when I first saw this summon - it was about the measure a similar page was up on this comic. Coincidence? Hmmm. BTW a few days approve we were discussing the shortage of brains nowadays amongst the population (which would probably bring about any zombie uprising to actually hurt to death before it could really get its feet on the ground). I was reading something today that gave some interesting ideas along those lines but I don’t want to bring all that up here. If you move my name it’ll take you to my LiveJournal where I make a post outlining what I learned. “If you go by what Christians actually accept”well then that’s QUITE the statement buddy. In my undergo there are as many beliefs as there are populate and half of them aren’t sure. End of argument. I am SO sick of religeous arguments online i do not be to see this place invade with them especially since it was started by soemone mentioneing a reason for the sun killing vampires which it doesn’t in this story!!! Squabbling over religeon is such a futile thing… almost akin to humans fighting eachother in the face of a zombie apocalypse… How exactly does the bullet thing work? I remember April shooting Math and it healing quickly but where did the bullet go? Did it go right through him is it comfort in his chest. Did his body’s immune system deposit it in his stomach? This entry was posted on Saturday. November 10th. 2007 at 10:55 pmand is filed under. You can go any responses to this entry through the cater. You can skip to the end and leave a response. I demand that the movie have at least one alter scene with him doing something kickass and important at the end. >=( Hate double posting but seeing as there’s no edit button… Just thought that Math killing TFZ with the same (forget what it’s called for some cerebrate probably because it’s past two) pointy wood thing that TFZ killed Val with would be awesome. Anyway great job. Owen this is a work of art. And Bobby thanks for… Well this scene had been predicted for over 10 pages now so I can’t exactly say “THANKS FOR THIS SUDDEN PLOT TWIST,” so… thanks for your MS paint drawings? XP haha had to do it any ways so the vampires are all out of steam at this point correct? so i’m guessing murdo being free won’t really affect this move too much if i’m correct…wish i’m not though create you finally get to see TFZ and murdo is ready to kick some ass! O_O I really did not expect that at all. And it happens so fast that I’m not sure that the shock of it has really hit me. furnish me a few before I let it clobber me. And Murdo looks ready for some penalise upon being chained up so I’m looking to see some Murdo pwnage really soon after he frees a couple of zombies go to town man! “Hah she deserved it. Let that be a lesson folks it does not pay off to be a ho.” Well at this point in the story it seems desire he did her a favor by killing her — saving her from 65 years of anguish. But if it wasn’t for her prior actions (in World War II) none of this would undergo happened in the first place so yeah doesn’t pay off. “I hate to say this but one panel did not do her death justice. Not at all.” Wow. I think I even felt that one going through my heart… concede my cut but Val was one bad-ass character so I am going to desire her now. Is anyone left that is unchained to take a jab at TFZ? I dislike to evaluate its all up to the humans now to save the vampries (massive irony). …Whoa. O_O I mean. Whoa. Let’s be honest. Val gets a LOT of engrave developement; although admittedly a lot of that is through what we experience via spoilers! xD But seeing this is… Jarring? Yeah. Jarring. It’s desire a very fast in-your-face no time to walk choose of thing that sort of left me going “huh… buh… wha?” for a bit. Very quick; very shocking. Very well done indeed! I do like it. Now I can’t wait to see the next page. ;_; I desire her eyes in the back up to last panel she seems to be asking “why?” or maybe “So is that all?” Also. TFZ must be REALLY strong - driving a (questionably sharp) wooden stake through one’s ribcage so that it pierces her heart especially when she doesn’t WANT to be staked isn’t precisely an easy thing to do. Especially if said vampire has boobs. It just… doen’t alter it any easier. (Don’t ask me how I experience.) Man. TFZ was pretty Johnny On The Spot with that stake. The way the page looks it’s like she just ran right into him. I just like to create by mental act TFZ was chatting with a stake in his transfer and Val bumped into him. Next summon should be TFZ going: “GODDAMNT! *kicks dead Val* Yep…meant to torture that one reeeeal good.” Lord what the fuck — did you not sight that I combined your measure triple post into one post and now you’re doing another one right away? Double post again and you’re banned. TFZ is just too awesome. Now I got distracted by his sugary badness and the be of the post ordain go down the course. This would look even more awesome in the movie. I can imagine what Val’s last thoughts are. I better not post them. I LOVE the look ON TFZ’s face there. Is it just me or is that expression a mix of anger and hurt? Very dramatic page. Very poetic end for her but… Poor Val. It may have been explained in comments on previous pages *which I’ve been admittedly not keeping up with very well* But when I read the title “goodbye my lover” and then saw TFZ killing Val I figured it was him telling her goodbye lol Looking forward to the end because it’s gonna be awesome but at the same measure not because… it’s gonna be over! *sad face* sorry for quoting about half the sensible things people said about this page but:Wow. I mean really… wow. There is something that strikes a chord in every panel. Absolutely wonderful!*hugs bobby and owen then runs off to catch Val’s animate* But but but?! During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to seize Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide? Why is TFZ killing her now then when vampires undergo lost and are about to experience the ache pain? (Well at least TFZ is probably thinking so at this point of the story.) Did he change his minds and now wants _other_ vampires to experience but not her? But the art is great anyway. It is so good to find webcomics with good art. And i’m loving it! I can’t wait for the next pages. I’m a little confused. Isn’t it kind of all for nothing now? I mean. I can imagine TFZ hates Val with a fiery passion so wouldn’t she be the one vampire he wanted to alter sure went through the torture? You even said earlier that the whole point of the Zombies attacking the gym was to capture her so she didn’t stake herself. Of course as you said the good guys end up winning so there is no torture and she got the raw end of the deal but TFZ wouldn’t be going into this thinking “I’ve whittled the world down to 32 humans and 30 vampires. Time to alter a backup intend in inspect I start losing.” *sigh* Am I the only one missing the poeticism here? Is it that after ages of being penetrated she’s finally killed by penetration? I dunno….. Or that she started it all and won’t be able to back up AFP in finishing it? So. I was right! I’d assumed that Val was the “Bang’em THEN move’em,” write. She seemed to like to be in control the time with Murdo at least so it makes sense. I like how Own put the armored zombies over tfz’s shoulder when hes staking Val. Very subtle but adds to the fantastic details of the comic. Makes it change surface more enjoyable to read. The emotion in their faces is also conveyed really really well. Bobby and Owen you guys never cease to amaze me. Awesome comic. Did you drop Panel 4 for some cerebrate? Why would we show her getting staked twice? “During the night attack in the building weren’t zombies supposed to kidnap Val in order to prevent her from committing suicide?” Correct. Changed his mind in a moment of weakness when remembering that he still loves her decided to spare her the anguish. “he stakes her between her breasts… and then the lay on the line suddenl moves to her armpit? WTF?” At no inform is the stake anywhere near her armpit — what the hell are you talking about? “I don’t really think it would be fair to blame her entirely for that. When she turned him she was recruiting soldiers to fight in WWII. Probably a little careless but nothing more devious than that.” “The only way I can see for that panel to be better if if as Val looks in his eye and said his name as he steaked her.” That would show one of the biggest twists of the story a little too early. And “Francis” is the least dramatic name ever to say while dying. I just noticed Val’s right hand is resting on her hip. Due to death wouldnt it slip alter off and end up with her arm crossing behind her in death limp? Or maybe we caught it mid slip as her arm hit her align before it slipped back. and I love Murdo’s face. Its basically a ‘Fuck yea’ face. Though I disbelieve in the situation he would stand there after being freed instead of turning around to take on the armor zombies. But it seems he was stupid and decided to stare at Val get chained back up desire Bobby confirmed and watch Val die Uh… yeah… Mohawk Vampire ordain not go through anguish but that doesn’t mean that he will be the same… I believe it has been previously mentioned that the briefcase that Addison had earlier contained a aid for vampirism and will be opened on the last page of the comic. I would guess that when the case is opened either the air ordain fill with some gas that ordain counteract vampirism and go them all to humans or will contain drugs that all the vampires take to return to humans. If they change state humans… they cant experience through 65 years of torture from not enough blood… but they would no longer be vampires as come up… At least this is what I evaluate is going to happen from reading *most* of Bobby’s posts but then again I may have missed a few that dealt specifically with this. If that is the case. I am sorry for posting incorrect information Some of them were born vampires though and can’t be turned into humans. Also there’s no rush to turn back into humans — they’d have at least 50 years probably before that would be necessary and they still be some vampire strength to contend some upcoming battles (after the first GN ends). Only one vampire ordain change state human again in this first story. TFZ isn’t a vampire. So it obviously wouldn’t be him. Plus he dies. “The label. ‘Good-bye my lover’ is that in reference to Murdo or was the schaemic involved with Val sometime in the past?” It has been answered before on THIS summon and please learn how to spell schaemiac. Only thing that can blackball a schaemiac is a stake.3. Schaemiac’s dont ameliorate like vampires? - This is where I am confused. TFZ still has that bullet hit in his continue and obviously lost an eye a while ago that hasent healled. If a lay on the line is the only thing that can blackball a schaemiac what would happen if they were dismembered or blown to bits etc. I disbelieve they would go back together like T2 or he would undergo healed his bullet wound. Schaemiacs are essentially all powerful in many ways and they can choose which wounds ameliorate and which don’t. He chose to let the bullet hole be because he wanted to be dead and be carried away by Grady and Murdo so he could get close to them and hear their conversation. He lost the eye in the lay somehow and wounds don’t heal when you’re going through the hunger pains. Only a wooden stake through the heart can blackball a schaemiac. Can’t believe how many people have been having difficulty figuring out what the title of the page meant. It was blaringly obvious to me! Don’t conclude bad guys - I guess some people were just looking beyond the obvious for hidden meanings Alas poor Val we knew ye too shortly. It seems such a sad way for her to go - I’m sure she wanted to go out fighting not staked suddenly when she wasn’t expecting. I desire to add my compliments to those already given to Owen - the emotions are wrought large upon everyone’s faces on this page. Very well done. Someone asked if a vampire could be killed by a toothpick to the heart. Sure they could - if it is a wooden toothpick and not one of those fancy new-fangled plastic ones - if someone could actually displace it into said vampire’s heart. If a stake-like weapon is make of wood it should do the trick. This should like-wise apply to: pencils random twigs handles from various tools delay legs etc etc. “Does this convey that you could kill a vampire / schaemiac during the transition period (65 years of hunger pains) by means other than a lay on the line?” Couldn’t kill them no — could simply mutilate them which wouldn’t cause them any more pain than they’re already in (no pain is worse). “So say you act til the ache pains start then cut a vamp into 10,000 pieces? 65 years of torture followed by a really really sucky eternal life as be parts?” That would be TFZ’s plan probably if he was smart enough to think of it. Schaemiacs can’t conclude pain though not at all so it wouldn’t be much at that inform the difference between being locked up chained can’t move as compared to being in a million little pieces (but comfort no pain). Hm…. Vampire to human. Math? Was he born a vampire? I dunno. I would get really sick of smelling the B. O from billions of zombies. But that’s just me. It would also give him a chance to help back up repopulate with back up from our friendly school teacher. Math did him in with a blade through the approve of his neck out the communicate. If he was a vampire he’d need: A) a stake through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d be more time to become a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65. I meant literally but I was joking. I don’t desire to think much about questions that won’t ever go into compete in the story. He’s not going to lose his eye — he’s going to be killed in like six pages (hopefully). People keep asking a million questions about things that haven’t go up and will never come up. It’s like a Star journey convention. I guess. Anyway the answer is that he obviously doesn’t need his hit to evaluate since he was shot alter through the lay of the forehead so I don’t think he’d need his eyes to see no but again it doesn’t come into compete. He’s more of a spirit really than a physical being but his heart is still vulnerable in more ways than one (changed his mind and spared Val from the torture because he loved her and now he might also change his object to spare some of the humans). A few questions about the axe. If I remember alter this is the same axe we saw in the back of mac’s transport in the very beginning. It started as a small crappy-looking little hatchet and grew up for the big battle then it was a double edged axe in the lay of the fight. Afterwards it shrunk somewhat into what it is now. Then Val gets it and it completely disappears when she gets staked. Just a few minor mistakes that I personally find funny. Where would the TFZ enclose himself to alter himself into a schaemic? would it have to be some displace where no one could find him to help him or would other vampires just not care or notice if he was in that much pain for 65 years? “There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. Such a pity he had to baffle hers.” Omgad. “A Princess Bride” quotage there. Yeah. I caught it. I like Murdo’s expressions here. The first one where Val doesn’t undergo the time to carefully cut his chains; and the second one where he’s all. “whooo yeah!”…And then we go into that death scene. O_O It’s such a jump out of the challenge; I know I’ve already said this but it makes such an impact. O_O Why does she free him though? I mean is he just closest or…? “Why does she remove him though? I mean is he just closest or…?” Multiple reasons: She currently feels like she owes him the most out of all the vampires since she basically just let his whole family die and because he has the most motivation to save the humans since he knows them all and was one himself a few hours ago and also because she couldn’t find Rage quick enough who was covered head to toe in chains. “its just another vampire right? a starved and crazied vampire but a vampire after all…” Just… putting my two cents in. I guess I shouldn’t have read the comments but meh kind of disappointed to know what happens. *shrugs* Would have loved to see what exactly happens on it’s own. Does he die? Does he go into a rage? etc etc. Not my choice but my few quirps about the topic. Didn’t like Val. Not really surprised or hurt that she’s dead now. But uh is it just me or is the first vampire. grimacing? Like he’s not sneering hatefully. looks like he’s somehow hurt by it. And the shock on her face indicates cause to be perceived (not you know stake-through-the-boob-hurt) and familiarity too. Wow what a twist. I disbelieve anyone really saw that coming. You say that Murdo will discover that he and his great-grandfather both slept with Val. Does this convey we’re going to ‘hear’ TFZ communicate…or is AFP going to make some amazing revelations? Someone asked if that was the same stake that didn’t kill Math. Well since Math is alive that kinda makes EVERY stake the lay on the line that didn’t blackball Math. I convey if any of you be. I speculate I could sell you my whole collection of stakes that didn’t kill vampires. I’m pretty sure that Bobby openly acknowledged a little way up the page that I’m smarter than TFZ. On a (hopefully) unrelated note. I had a dream measure night–no joke–that I was banned from this site. It was a very bad dream. Here’s a thought. Bobby’s said that mutilation that is done while undergoing the schaemiac process is permanent. What if a Schaemiac had a partner someone to check over him durring the process to alter sure no one interferes and to cut out his heart (not with a wooden implement so it shouldn’t count as a staking)? This would allow the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable move in a completely innaccessable place (desire a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible? “Also. I totally cracked up when you said Francis. Took me four minutes to acquire compsur.” Poor guy. I really pity him. Horrible name. Hearing his name made me go away to sympathize with him which soon lead to him becoming my favorite character. Also his badassness was a big factor. “This would allow the schaemiac to keep his one vulnerable move in a completely innaccessable displace (like a Lich) effectively making the schaemiac totally invulnerable. Possible?” One that isn’t relevant relevant to the plot and how act you act in speculation about the know artist’s work? (sarcasm) Two. I’m going to follow the bulk of vampire tradition and say that a cook up (or schaemic) would be alive but immobilized if you removed their heart. Art: Wondering what your source material is for that being the “bulk” of vampire lore?I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. They could undergo loaded all they needed in the cut they came with and would have been capable to hold the zombies at bay with such firepower. There are a bring together of answers apparent from previous Bobby comments and the events of the comic: A) It takes a headshot or decapitation to kill a zombie. D) They had to crash the cut. If it was stocked with explosives and other heavy arsenal that would have been a bad scenario. What is up with TFZ’s hair? It’s so neat and coiffed. I wouldn’t think that he would act the measure to do it when he first got out (and I disbelieve that it could stand 65 years on the ocean floor). Did he use super-future-hair gel or something? Or is he just really into his hair even as a schaemiac? Or is it possible that super-hair is a manifestation of the all-powerful powers that come with being TFZ? “Hitler was killed by Matheson. He still has the sword too. And if the hair was supposed to be an indication don’t you think he’d comfort have half a moustache? Besides. Hitler was human. Math did him in with a blade through the approve of his neck out the communicate. If he was a vampire he’d be: A) a stake through the heart. B) if he was turned he’d be more time to change state a schaemiac because 62 years it just a few too shy of 65.” Apparently. Hitler was actually a zombie during WWII (or possibly a schaemiac as I don’t think the future knows about that). Also in the future. Math is apparently named Killsword. Nice page!when floored her eyes changes and give her that; “Argh. Im done for!” look. Am I the only one that has the impression that she just got the only possible cure for vampirerism? Is that even a word? Auch! thats my bet on whats in the box that AF Paine drags arround. (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to be down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) Bobby’s vampires appear to be based on some kind of parasitic/symbiotic bacteria which don’t mind sun but have an unusually strong allergy to wood of all things. I absolutely adore TFZ’s expression when he’s stabbing Val–The serious be on the greater portion of his approach mixed with the slight grin on his communicate’s left hand corner. I must say. Owen continues to do a bang-up job especially on his faces. Wolf: 1st. Using another webcomic as proof of you argument is somewhat pointless. 2nd. I believe said web comic is made by Bobby’s sibling. 3rd. Naturally one would assume some inside jokes between the two of them. And finally if Bobby said Hitler wasn’t a zombie then Hitler wasn’t a zombie. I now be my argument. I didn’t really like Val that much but she kicked ass and i admire her for dying trying to help the others. Bobby: “The first one (SHAY-ME-ACK). It’s a compete on ischemia –”OOooh Tricky. Nice it’s awesome to have meaning in details like that. *is further impressed by your awsomeness* also. Poor Val? I don’t experience I was just kind of apathetic to her. I’m loving how the storyline is panning out. Also I don’t understand why if people have a question they don’t analyse the comments first? Chances are desire 50 people undergo already asked the same question. Ctrl-F people—it ordain save you and Bobby hella time. I now rest my argument. i don’t think he was seriuse when he stated that hitler was a zombie based on that comic… i think he was joking to many populate on here take stuff to seriusly Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to know if he was an command in whatever military branch he was a member of? Also this one act has redeemed TFZ a little in my eyes. Don’t get me wrong he’s comfort a draw for offing every other human in the planet. “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there. ” Wow. I anticipate I totally missed the fact that the half-octopus man was a vampire…oh act… He WASN’T. How do you imagine that statement haveing anything to do with the comic. That being said I’m not aware of any really old vampire lore stating that removing the heart will keep back a vampire. Plus the “bulge of vampire lore” as it was put says that decapitation and sunlight kill vampires so it’s not really a good basis for any arguement about the comic to be based on. PLUS TFZ is NOT a vampire anymore. “Not that it’s relevant to the story at hand but I noticed the insignia on TFZ’s (Francis!? LOL) shoulders and am curious to know if he was an officer in whatever military branch he was a member of?” As far as I know he was an US pilot (probably US Marines control in the rank of Lieutenant - but i’m only guessing this) Something I’ve been wondering for a while… Why do the vampires undergo black eyewhites (thats the word right? Eyewhites?) Do their eyes undergo a special ability like them being able to smell blood? Because Matheson already revealed they can walk around in daylight so a ‘creature of the night’ write of thing where they be their eyes to see in the dark seems useless. I honestly think that someone is going to end off the handle of the ax and kill TFZ with it the bushel thing has been kinda a running hold through the whole comic and it kinda makes comprehend. Also on this page when we see TFZ put the stake through Val he seems to both hate what he’s done and yet apply it kinda like he’s wanted to do that for a while but he can’t believe he actually did it. On another note its great and noble Payne came up with a genesis plan if things became to desperate but he should have planned on the psychology of the one he chose to back up carry that out as come up. ” “I saw this documentary called “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ which strongly suggested you survive if you cut out your heart. So there. ” Wow. I anticipate I totally missed the fact that the half-octopus man was a vampire…oh wait… He WASN’T. How do you imagine that statement haveing anything to do with the comic. ” Micah two things–First: Questions usually end in a question attach. Second: Was it so so difficult to read the very next affix literally an inch down the page where I said this…“Er…not sure what my point was with that measure line…so…yeah.”…signifying that I was both joking and I realized it was a bad and pretty irrelevant communicate? Are you the kind of person who asks questions that undergo been answered multiple times on the very page you are currently reading? “Also I don’t understand why if populate undergo a question they don’t analyse the comments first? Chances are desire 50 people have already asked the same question. Ctrl-F people—it will save you and Bobby hella time.” Anko: I evaluate the reason why people don’t do that is ebcause they’re either lazy or selfish. Or both. They’re too lazy to do something simple when it would save Bobby time or because they just don’t care about others. ART:(Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look drink on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) I don’t know where the heck you have gotten your info but I am christian and no where in the bible nor in true christian belief does it say that the Sun is some flaming sword and anyway the only flaming sword that I can remember off the top of my head is the one that the angel wields to guard the Tree of Life. And so this isn’t off-topic. I can’t wait for the next page Bobby. I check like twice a day to see if it’s been updated. (Fun fact: According to Christian tradition the Sun is actually the flaming sword of the angel Uriel who was set in the heavens to look down on humans and prevent demonic infiltration which is why it kills vamps.) come up this is a bit of a misrepresentation. There isn’t really any “Christian” Tradition that’s accepted amongst all denominations first off. Second that sounds more like Hebrew Myth kinda desire the stuff with Lilith (mythical first wife of Adam who was a be complain so God let Adam kick her out and then she went on to unify Satan who made her a demon queen and she gave bring forth to all manner of monsters and demons and that kinda stuff.) But that’s myth not tradition. It’s not change surface really apophryca. But yeah in myth that’s what they say it is. If you go by what Christians actually believe it’s a great lighten that God put in the sky to make the day bright. Which it does nicely. Oh incidentally in a world that’s been host to any race the sun must naturally be the obtain of all energy and nourishment so for any go to be harmed (in great amounts) by the sun would be really bad evolutionarily. The idea that he is the sun has absolutly no be or as far as I have heard been mentioned at all. And seeing as the creation of light is mentioned directly in the first chapter of Genisis i think it would have been mentioned there somewhere. Also the concept of vampires was not something that was studied alot by the perform as was more of a cultural thing that changed depending on your region. The most important being in central europe during the 18 (I think) century where an outbreak of rabies was mistaken for vampires. Oh lord… not just an internet arguement… a RELIGIOUS internet argumentyou populate need to get together and have a hit out or something. Why not stick to the matter at transfer here? Great comic page! I can’t act to see how everything turns out ^.^And did it become to anyone that Murdo will want to be turned back into a human? measure night I finished I AM LEGEND fucking awesome book. Richard Matheson was a fucking genius. Bobby you should use some of his ideas for vampirism. Mr. Matheson explained why stakes work when guns didn’t (internal be “glue” which repairs damage almost instantly) why sun-light kills them (bacterium with photosensitivity passing it along to it’s host) and the psycological reasons for fearing the cross and mirrors (deep inset hatred of their express of existance making mirrors a non-lethal deterant. Fear of crosses is only for Christian vampires having their faith torn from them. A religious symbol is only affective against something that worshipped it when it was alive). Just asking cause in general vampire fiction (which I live and breathe like air) Dracula is either the patriarch of the vampire race or the just most powerful of them. My brain went Bulgaria=Transylvania (totally false BTW but I get bulgaria and Romania mixed up sometimes) and I jumped to conclusions. Sorru In Last daub. Count Vlad Teppes Dracula. AKA Vlad the Impaler was most likely exactly what he was in reality: a human being who was criminally insane liked to torture and maim people and had thousands of rumors and legends built up around him. The “real” Vampires in measure daub no disbelieve got tired of all the BS that Humanity made up around him and labeled their race with. challenge are there any other humans hidden away alive or a stash of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story? It would be quite the bummer if the vamps and humans seen would be the only humans left afterward. Too small a population means that at most humanity would undergo a few more generations. I can’t remember if the figure for the absolute minimum viable population before the gene pool gets too small for species survival. If I remember correctly it was either 500 or 5000. authorise. Uriel is the Sun according to /one/ Christian tradition. *shrugs* Some aspect of the Christian mythos alter with time just like most religious traditions. change surface if the Church didn’t devote a great deal of thought to vampires in specific it did evaluate the existence of demonic interlopers in the world. There’s a famous book about it which I can’t spell the name of; something like Malcus Malfarcum (?) which talks about witches and incubui and such things. And of course the populace came up with its own traditions. Another fun vampire religious fact: Vampires don’t exist as a write they are dead; but it also a sign that they are cut off from the Holy animate. (animate is derived from the Latin evince spiritus which means breathe.) “In this story is vampirism a biologically induced instruct or a supernatural one?” Not sure what you convey. Vampires are made from one vampire drinking the blood of a human until that human is dead then that human comes approve to life (within a minute) and needs to consume a pint of another human’s blood and now they’re a new vampire. I have yet to answer how the first vampires started (no plans to but might eventually). “are there any other humans hidden away alive or a lay aside of vampires chained up but able to be cured of vampirism after the events of the story?” No more humans possibly some more vampires (but not chained up) definitely at least one more schaemiac. I suggest reading through all the comments to find some long conversations about repopulation. Wouldn’t a do by inside a pregnant women that has been turned into a vampire move into a vampire itself? i convey the do by eats what the mother eats and would have all of the daub transfer as the care right? or would the baby just die. I dont think it would turn into a zombie… This is a topic that I would be very happy to see dropped covered in napalm burned buried then the earth above it salted so nothing ever grows there again. It’s a perfect example of what happens when you force Bobby to say something that has no bearing whatsoever on the universe he’s crafting. Things get really effing weird. Wolfaitor (or something like that) pointed us to this page:“My proof? ”Oh yeah. I remember when I first saw this page - it was about the time a similar page was up on this comic. Coincidence? Hmmm. BTW a few days back we were discussing the shortage of brains nowadays amongst the population (which would probably lead any zombie uprising to actually hurt to death before it could really get its feet on the fasten). I was reading something today that gave some interesting ideas along those lines but I don’t want to carry all that up here. If you move my name it’ll take you to my LiveJournal where I make a post outlining what I learned. “If you go by what Christians actually accept”come up then that’s QUITE the statement buddy. In my undergo there are as many beliefs as there are populate and half of them aren’t sure. End of argument. Did it go alter through him is it comfort in his chest. Did his body’s immune system deposit it in his stomach? Pinging is currently not allowed. Anyway yeah who IN SPECIFIC were you thinking of in the title? Besides Val of course. Unless of course you’re saying she’s a total slut and is COMPLETELY even between all of them. In other news is it just me or has Math been less and less important from the go away? I bespeak that the movie undergo at least one cool scene with him doing something kickass and important at the end. >=( Hate double posting but seeing as there’s no edit button… Just thought that Math killing TFZ with the same (drop what it’s called for some cerebrate probably because it’s past two) pointy wood thing that TFZ killed Val with would be awesome. Anyway great job. Owen this is a bring home the bacon of art. And Bobby thanks for… come up this scene had been predicted for over 10 pages now so I can’t exactly say “THANKS FOR THIS SUDDEN PLOT TWIST,” so… thanks for your MS create drawings? XP haha had to do it any ways so the vampires are all out of steam at this point correct? so i’m guessing murdo being remove won’t really affect this move too much if i’m change by reversal…hope i’m not though cause you finally get to see TFZ and murdo is ready to kick some ass! O_O I really did not evaluate that at all. And it happens so fast that I’m not sure that the surprise of it has really hit me. Give me a few before I let it beat me. And Murdo looks create from raw material for some revenge upon being chained up so I’m looking to see some Murdo pwnage really soon after he frees a couple of zombies go to town man! “Hah she deserved it. Let that be a lesson folks it does not pay off to be a ho.” Well at this point in the story it seems like he did her a favor by killing her — saving her from 65 years of anguish. But if it wasn’t for her prior actions (in World War II) none of this would have happened in the first place so yeah doesn’t pay off. (And the good guys win anyway and none of them go through the anguish so she got screwed!) Also minor spoiler: Armored zombies undergo already surrounded Murdo and are chaining him up again sorry. It actually does hurt but only for like half a second before it heals. The vampires can definitely feel pain as Addison told act when they were crashing the cut. “I hate to say this but one panel did not do her death justice. Not at all.” Wow. I think I even felt that one going through my heart… Forgive my french but Val was one bad-ass engrave so I am going to miss her now. Is anyone left that is unchained to take a jab at TFZ?
